RMG Consulting Services has a long history in managing large “Ultra Class” mining and civil plant fleets throughout Australia and Papua New Guinea in major tier 1 and or family owned contracting and plant hire businesses at senior management level.

 

Part of RMG success in this field was completing a Master of Business, thesis involving Haul Truck payload and tray designs which resulted in a $20 million dollar plus savings in material movement cost across a number of major mining projects in QLD & NSW.  It also resulted in OEM and haul truck body manufactures being aware of the actual project material Specific Gravity (SP) so to manufacture and fit the appropriate bodies prior to the haul tracks being commission onsite.

 

As part of RMG involvement in plant assets was researching and gaining capital approval with implementing the first approved Collision Avoidance (CA) GPS safety system within the Queensland coal mine which was widely recognised within the QLD mining inspectorate. The CA implementation involved updating the sites Integrated Management System (IMS) of its associated Safety Standards, Procedures, JSA and documentation including training during the commissioning process.

 

RMG also offer a cradle to life plant asset management process and its associates are continually working throughout the world on International Mining Projects reviewing and recommending of the correct mining fleet targeting 100% utilisation of equipment and so the full capital outlay potential is achieved by it mining fleet which reduces the overall start up and ongoing fleet costs.
